Introduction
Join a Botanical Exploration!
Become part of a planetary botanical research team as you explore your surrounding natural ecosystem and submit a record for a plant that lives in the in your area of the world.
You, along with many contributors, will collaborate in this effort and document your botanical findings for the greater botanical good. In doing so you will become part of a greater community of budding botanists and have a unique opportunity to view and discuss botanical specimens from all corners of the planet.
Part drawing and part science, botanical illustration provides a unique opportunity to look closely at nature and learn from it.
This WebQuest will introduce you to plant morphology– the study of the physical form and external structure of plants. Understanding plant morphology is helpful in plant identification.
